Waterbury man charged with operating drug factory

WATERBURY – Police say they seized multiple guns and two stolen motorcycles while searching a home on Oakville Avenue on Tuesday morning. Maxwell Wolff Police arrested Maxwell Wolff, 22, after they searched a home at 351 Oakville Ave. early Tuesday. That search-and-seizure was carried out at the same time as police were coordinating multiple raids of homes tied to suspected gang activity.

Police seized $12,000, six long guns, 45 grams of marijuana, 19 liquid capsules of marijuana extract, a .45-caliber Springfield Arms handgun and two stolen motorcycles, a Yamaha FZ-07 and a KTM RS.

Wolff was charged with operating a drug factory, two counts third-degree larceny, criminal possession of a revolver, possession of marijuana with intent to sell and possession within a school zone.

Wolff was held on a $300,000 bond and is expected to be arraigned on the charges on Wednesday in Waterbury Superior Court.
